He was incredibly rich and powerful, with his interests ranging from smuggling to weapons dealing. There are no known members of the Hutt Clan whose name starts with that letter in canon, but Legends did have one named Kaltho. With that in mind, the symbol even looks similar to two Hutt tales, and it is comparable to the letter "K" in Huttese. The Book of Boba Fett's crime symbol could be a simplified version potentially. However, there is a Hutt Clan logo already established in canon that isn't an exact match. Since that is primarily who they are associated with in the franchise, The Book of Boba Fett using them specifically could support this theory. To add more credence to the possibility of another Hutt being behind this crime group, it is well-known in canon that the Hutt Clan enslaved Nikto aliens to work for them. This event presumably takes place shortly after Jabba the Hutt's death in Return of the Jedi, so it would make sense for another Hutt to try and claim Jabba's empire first. Looking at the grand scheme of Boba Fett's story and Tatooine, the biggest possible answer is that The Book of Boba Fett's symbol belongs to the powerful Hutt Clan. So while The Book of Boba Fett could be introducing a brand new threat, here are some theories about who this crime group is connected to. ![]() There are plenty of potential candidates based on characters and organizations already known to exist in the galaxy far, far away. Since the series didn't establish a true villain from the very beginning, it is quite possible that these criminals are tied to whoever Boba Fett will be ultimately up against. Why It's Dividing Star Wars Fans The marking hasn't been used in Star Wars before, which has left The Book of Boba Fett viewers open to speculate about what it could mean and which crime group these individuals could represent. When the criminals were nearing the end of their raid, one of them marked the house twice with a symbol. It was during this time that they saw multiple Nikto aliens terrorizing a local family and home (which looked quite similar to Owen Lars' home). When Boba Fett was a prisoner of a Tusken Raider clan, one of the younglings took him and another prisoner across the Tatooine desert. ![]()
